Sun Eclipse on Friday

January 16th, 2010 (11:22 pm)

*Don't get any camera near them, ever! They will pose like never before!*

Yesterday, my school threw the students buffet party for national children's day, a week late from the original day which is usually on the second Saturday of January due to some conflict issue (& I didn't even know why lol) and at the end of the fun around 3.30 PM, we were be able to witness the partly sun eclipse from the sky above. My students came excitedly around me to urge me to watch here & there at the spot they thought it was the best spot to witness it.

*(Left) With adorable kindergarten kid & another teacher, Pimprapai whom became my very good friend & (right) with remarkable kid, Satang, she could do everything from singing to dancing!*

Without the proper material to see the exposed sunlight, I was reluctant to see, up until one of students gave me the plastic cover of water bottle to see the reflection of eclipse on the glass windows of the building (not that it was the proper material anyway but it was not the direct sight since I saw the reflection). The next second was the first time I ever witnessed the real eclipse from my own eyes. It was totally amazing moment! Especially for the geek like myself.

Next thing I knew, some students led me to across the way and I got the sunglasses lens to try. This time the eclipse was half way to the end & with some efforts & adjusts (thanks to the CHDK hack on my Canon camera that helped me set the ISO 1 to capture this precious moment) I got this picture to share to you all!

*My first ever sun eclipse witness!*

Have you ever witnessed any eclipse?
(& I'm not talking about Twilight Saga!)

It's Late but Dear Santa,....

December 27th, 2009 (02:26 pm)
ecstatic

current mood: ecstatic

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In October I donated bone marrow to n0wai in a life-saving procedure (300 points). Last Wednesday I caught a purse-snatcher who stole tubish 's purse (30 points). In November I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In June I gave angelwings9 a kidney (1000 points). Last month I set kimonos_house 's puppy on fire (-66 points).

Overall, I've been nice (1590 points). For Christmas I deserve a new dolly!
Sincerely,
starrynite45

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Sleepy Blogging

December 23rd, 2009 (10:51 pm)

Yesterday I was totally worn out by class 1/3 (primary level) as I was taking care of them while they were taking midterm exam. Most of them were not bright & someone were really difficult to take care (like LD or Down Syndrome kids). Plus the exam was kinda too hard for 6-7 years old to take. So it was the hardest time ever since I stepped foot into this school.

One girl had such a temper and she could always get irritated by every little thing she thought she hated or disliked. For example, when she felt the exam was too hard for her (even though she was kinda clever when compared to another students who can't write a dang thing), she was to throw a fit & say; "Hong (her name, means swan) won't write this. It's too hard!". Or when she was hungry she will be like; "I'm going to jump of the cliff and die!" or when she was mad with someone or something; "I HATE THEM ALL! F***ing kids! Loud noise! I hate it!".

She also threatened to punch them and this "She wolf" always acted like a wolf or vampire and bared all her teeth and growled at friends to scare them (well, more like it made them laugh at her instead).

And these kind of events happened on and on & you can guess, I was almost gone nuts if I didn't practice my mind enough. She refused to even write her name on exam sheets. However, Hong was just a piece of cake when the whole cake (as in almost the whole 1/3 class) gave me more headache....

....because they could rarely do any exam!

It was so tiresome that no matter how many times I had told them what to do in exam, they always looked confused at the paper while scribing away nonsense ...even more was scribing away the wrong answers on the wrong questions!!!

GOSH! I almost lost all my hair from pulling it out by myself too much.

I came back home exhausted as never before and eventually fell asleep in front of computer instead of remixing new aerobic dance medley for sports day. Then dad woke me up and I groggily climbed the stair, brushed my teeth with my eyes drooping down almost shutting before fell into the deep sleep for the first time in past few years.

When was the last time you fell asleep before you intended to?

Yet another reason to hate Kanye

October 2nd, 2009 (03:39 pm)

Uh....not really Kanye but hey...he blasted on Swift in the honor of Beyoncé, right? And now...looks like Kanye is totally wrong to praise Beyoncé up because another backstage scandal caused by Beyoncé just happened in Singapore.

Beyoncé Takes On Linday Lohan.

Source: Music Is The Heart Of Our Soul

"Beyonce Knowles reportedly had Lindsay Lohan thrown out of her own dressing room because the singer wanted it for herself.

The former Destiny’s Child star was performing at the F1 Rocks concert in Singapore over the weekend and had ordered her entourage to get her the largest dressing area backstage.

However, Lindsay – who was hosting the event for British TV network Channel 4 – had already claimed the room for herself as she arrived before and was left upset when she was told she would have to vacate it.

The 'Mean Girls’ actress told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: 'I’ve been a bit down. It was a strange night. Everyone was being aggressive and bothering me. I really didn’t like it.'

In the lead up to her performance, Beyonce made her support acts sweat as she wouldn’t allow them to use her air conditioning.

Although temperatures backstage approached 90 degrees and people were passing out, Beyonce’s entourage refused to switch on her personal air cooling fans as they were just for her.

British DJ Seb Fontaine – who suffered heatstroke – told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: 'We were told, ’No they are Beyonce’s fans.’ I wasn’t asking to play her drum kit on stage. I just wanted to keep cool.'

In her 139-page rider, Beyonce also demanded six beauty chambers, fitness equipment, an authentic fruit platter and tea and honey.

Other acts to perform at the event – which took place at Fort Canning Park - included Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani."

Well, if you never visited Southeast Asia you would never know how hot it can be when reaching over 40c and especially backstage! Beyoncé couldn't even share her A/C to another ones, and if this was true, how would she share much greater things to the world?

I guess not.

Personally, I prefer Lindsay Lohan over Beyoncé so if there's a Team Lindsay and Team Beyoncé...I would jump into Team Lindsay for sure!

What do you think about this news?

A Bruised Pride+ Guess What Game!

September 9th, 2009 (11:46 pm)

Another poem by me. Even though I've been currently in good mood but I had some bittersweet pick-up lines in my head so I wrote it out in speedy time. And well, I wish I can produce it to be a song, maybe? Hehe.

And as I was writing this, I was thinking about some of my past. But I'm not going to tell you just yet!

So I DARE YOU to guess what I was writing about in this poem by choosing between;

1. About my ex-online boyfriend who I broke up & made up with for many times.

or

2. About a guy from high school who expressed interest at me then went out with another girl after I had feeling for him.

Okay, here's my poem. Enjoy my Bruised Pride!

"A Bruised Pride"

You thought you broke my heart?
No, I feel surprisingly fine,
Though not going to cry,
I’m really not okay.

Giving you all my trust.
It was gone in a rush.
Now I realized it’s a lust.
Just to give and to take.

You vowed you’d love me.
You swore there will be no pain.
But not a lover I gained,
Just a friend with benefit.

Now I know you don’t love me.
It’s just a lure to use me.
It is time to break free.
Nothing’s hurt, you see, but a bruised pride.

All the thing’s ‘bout ego,
that turned into emo.
Our act is only electro-,
chemistry, allure and a fraud.

Don’t ask for forgiveness.
‘cause I am totally fed.
Let’s ride it your way.
I’m better taking flight.

Now I know you don’t love me.
It’s just a lure to use me.
It’s my time to break free.
Nothing’s hurt, really, but a bruised pride.

You thought you broke my heart?
No, just a bruise in my mind,
but I’m not going to lie,
I’m really not okay.

So remember my dare? Guess No.1 or No. 2?
Write out your guess right away in comment!

Mission Graduating II

August 20th, 2009 (09:10 pm)

Went to university three days ago to finish up the last step to the graduation. Everything seemed to be in merry mood around the student service in which even one of the officer (who probably knew I finished by Pre-Degree method) playfully asked me if I was excited to graduate [finally], I replied, (hell) yeah, absolutely I am!

I also lent a newly fitting graduation gown that will fit my 5” tall form perfectly in chiffon fabric. All I have to do now is wait for the dress and the graduation day to be announced.

Next mission is the graduation ceremony itself. I can’t believe I make it! Haha.
